Lead the Way Creative Scholarship

A $5,000 scholarship program sponsored by CBC and Vectren Corporation to support our blood resource leaders of tomorrow. CBC and Vectren annually award $1,000 scholarships to five graduating high school seniors.

High School Leadership Grants

A $5,000 educational grant program to rewards schools in our area that achieve blood drive excellence by hosting at least two CBC blood drives during the school year and involve student groups as sponsors. CBC will award $1,000 grants to five schools in the following categories:

  • Most registered donors.
  • Greatest percentage increase in registered donors from the previous school year.
  • Highest and second highest (two awards) percentage of donors, based on eligible school population.
  • Highest percentage of senior class members qualifying for the Red Cord Honor Program.

Donor for Life

Blood, plasma and platelet donations are lifesaving gifts used every day by those battling cancer, accident victims, premature infants, surgical patients and hundreds of others. The need is constant and in order to meet the growing demand for blood and blood products, CBC is asking you to become a Donor For Life!

The Donor for Life initiative is a donor milestone program that encourages both whole blood and platelet donors to embark on a lifesaving journey with Community Blood Center. At each milestone along the way, donors will receive a special gift to thank them for being a Donor For Life!
